2 More!

Here are the last 2 cards I made yesterday.

This card was made with my 3 year old nephew in mind - the little monster bears a strong resemblance! The monster was colored in with water color pencils and water color was applied to the background as well. The large brad has been highlighted with a punched circle. I made faux stitching with a dark blue marker. The white swirls were stamped with pigment ink on textured green cardstock.

I colored the JustRite hydrangea image with Bic markers, then glued seed beads into the center of the flowerettes. The focal image was punched with a scalloped oval, then pierced with a tiny punch. The blue scalloped circle nestabilities were cut with my Wizard. The white textured paper was created using Fiskars texture plates in my Wizard. I think it turned out adorably!

Just Dance

I made 5 cards today! What a fun way to get to spend Mother's Day...This is my favorite of the day! I bought some really cool patterned papers recently and had experimented with tissue flowers and knew the two were perfect for each other! I glued small gems on the center of each flower in yellow and green. It's such a bright, cheerful card!

I CASEd a card on SplitCoastStampers. I love pink and brown together - such a pretty combination! I used my Nestabilities to cut out and emboss the focal backdrops. I stamped the dress in Chocolate Chip ink, then stamped it again on pink patterned paper. I cut the pink dress out then glued it on the brown image. I decided to let the dress extend off the backdrop. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the white backdrop to get the cool circles. A regular hole punch was used to allow for the two pieces of ribbon. I didn't have a sentiment stamp that I wanted to use, so I used a dark brown Bic to write Just Dance in.

I needed a card for my nephew who is turning two soon, and really HAD to use this lion stamp I just got from Michael's. I stamped him in Chocolate Chip ink, and colored him in with crayon, which I blended with a blender pen. The white cardstock was punched with Martha Stewart's Punch Around the Page which I got for Christmas. I highlighted it with a dark green crayon, and orange brads. I love the jungle print on the bottom - I think I'll use it again for a monkey card...hmmm...I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip and colored it in with brown crayon and blended it as well. I just love the way this card turned out, and I know Finn will, too!

For this adorable card I tried to substitute Bic pens for Copic markers, but the technique didn't work as well on glossy cardstock as it does on plain cardstock. My girls like the way the little monster turned out, though. They think he looks furry! I finished him off with a googly eye and he's ready to cheer a little guy up!

April Showers Challenge...

I had a great time making these cards for the SplitCoastStampers challenge!

This is Diva! and the challenge was to make a Joyfold card, it had to be fit for a diva, have red on it, and some bling. This is such a Tweet card! I just got this stamp and just had to use it! The only challenge was to put a flower on the card. I made the flower using light pink, dark pink, and yellow tissue paper. I cut the tissue with Spellbinders Blossom dies.
This card is so cute - the perfect size to tuck into a gift bag for a baby! I used scalloped square Cuttlebug dies.

Here's my Ever After card, made for a wedding present. The chocolate cardstock was cut out using Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page punches. The center focal point utilizes the Picture Frame fold.

I was inspired to make this sweet pea by another blogger (Andrea Walford), and used the faux Copic marker technique to shade the pea. The challenge was to make a monochromatic card.

The challenge was to make something look wet on the card. It's really hard to tell in the picture, but the vases look like they're filled with water. I used my new watercolor pencils to color the image. I LOVE the way it turned out!
